Spider Hill Cemetery, Wells County, Indiana

Spider Hill Cemetery, also known as Methodist Cemetery and Rockford Methodist Cemetery, is located on County Road 500 W, north of County Road 200 W in Rock Creek Township, Wells County, Indiana.

The original introduction states, "The ground for Methodist Cemetery (also known as Spider Hill) was purchased in 1861 from the Schnolity family. The Methodist Church was erected here in 1867/8 then was later moved to Rockford, Indiana. Later this Church was abandoned and the congregation moved to its present site, a short distance north of the old cemetery. Eliza Young was buried here in 1824. Orginal data was compiled by Mr. Clarence Minniear a member of the Wells County Historical Society." The cemetery is no longer associated with the church. Additional information was obtained from the Wells County Public Library.
