Major Henry Post 230, Grand Army of the Republic, Pendleton, Indiana
In early 1883, twenty-six Civil War Veterans petitioned the Commander of the Department of Indiana, Grand Army of the Republic for a charter to establish a post in Pendleton. Charter members included: George W. Parker, F.S. Tyler, Charles B. Caddy, Jonathan Jones, P.J. Albright, Charles E. Goodrich, E. Williams, James Whitney, W.R. Teague, L.M. Yost, J.O. Ireland, J. D.
