The 1922 courthouse was designed by Elmer Dunlap who designed Courthouses in Carroll, Pike, and Spencer Counties as well as the Rebuilds in Franklin and Jackson Counties.
The town of Winslow stymied construction of the 1922 Courthouse in the vague hope of somehow wresting away the County seat.
The date of the fire in the 1868 courthouse is unclear and seems to overlap with the construction of the 1922 courthouse, so there is some question as to the dates and locations of these courthouses.
The 1922 courthouse contains a Pike County War Memorial and the lawn contains a Revolutionary War Memorial.
